Poems

New Years

At one to twelve,
The countdown begins.
Fireworks are exploding,
They all look like darts.

It's the time of the year,
Let's have a cheer.
We have delicious food,
Everyone is in a good mood.

During Chinese New Year,
Children receive money.
Adults are all busy,
And we all think it's funny.

The night sky's gleaming,
We're all in a cheer,
Because everyone's beaming,
Adults are drinking beer.

Bare trees everywhere,
Hands wrapped around each other,
Firewood burning.
